Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Former journalist, mother of nine, enjoy reading, hiking and drinking a green smoothie while working on my laptop at Whole Foods.
How did your blog get started?
I started journaling my familys toxic mold ordeal in 2009. We left our home in October 2008 and started completely over. My kids were all sick and so was I. Family members and friends were eager to hear how we were doing.
There are many areas in the green blog world, what particular area would you say your blog focuses on?
The process of change. Allowing the learning to happen slowly.
When did you first start living green?
2009 (out of desperation)
What was the first change you made to go green?
I bought 7th generation laundry detergent and within a couple of years I was making my own.
What are some misconceptions about green living that youve had to deal with?
Everything that says green on the label isnt necessarily healthy or even green.
What have you found to be the hardest part of living green?
Decision making is the toughest. Am I buying the best product, am I doing it right?
What has been the most rewarding thing about living green?
Improved health and well-being.
Time to confess! What is something you are currently doing that is not green?
I still use bleached paper towels.
